What is The Carnival Hour?
The Carnival Show debuted on October 3, 2020, emerging from the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had stilled the vibrant West Country Carnivals for years. During those challenging times, Jeff Strawbridge ignited a spark of hope with The Carnival Hour on Taunton’s Tone FM.
For nearly four years, the show captivated listeners until it paused on July 28, 2024.
In 2025, it made its triumphant return on Radio Ninesprings. While the move was celebrated, the essence remained the same – the familiar setting, Jeff’s unmistakable voice, and the undying spirit of the carnival, marching confidently into a new chapter.
